I spent close to 20 years with the Cuyahoga County
Board of Developmental Disabilities- where I worked as a supervisor at two different activity centers, and a Support Administrator. I have a
Master’s Degree in Management and for fun I teach exercise classes and
have a small farm in Southeastern Geauga County.

What I most enjoy about this group and/ or Brite Day:

Building these Community Centers from the ground up has been a dream come true for me! This opportunity has afforded me the ability to
design and foster a program that is inclusive, person centered and fun! I have watched participants enjoying themselves and grow- It really gets no better than that!

Megan graduated from Kent State University. She worked at the Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities for
ten years! She also spent several years working as both an Activities Aide and as an Activities Director in the nursing home community.

What I most enjoy about this group and/ or Brite Day:

The Best thing I like about Brite Day is taking participants out to engage with the community- to learn new things they never experienced before. (I especially love seeing) their pure happiness when they come back from an outing.
 

What We Appreciate About You:

Megan is fun, creative, bubbly, caring and kind! She excels at developing new programming ideas, finding new fun places to go and looking for new craft activities! She also does whatever she can to make sure everyone feels included. 

Jim has spent a large part of his career prior to Brite Day in the production industry. He also is an avid car enthusiast,
owning and racing cars, and detailing them as a side business!

What I most enjoy about this group and/ or Brite Day:

In all honesty I sort of fell into this line of work but it ended up being a good fall! Seeing a smile on the participants’ faces at the end of the day along with seeing the same smiles return the next morning AND making
a difference in their lives is pretty much mission accomplished!

What We Appreciate About You:

Jim is very reliable and excels at reaching people who otherwise tend to isolate themselves. There have
been several times where certain Individuals were really reached- they were connecting and participating in ways they never have before! Jim has had a positive impact on many people’s lives. He is also great at brainstorming with fixing broken things, helping with getting great deals on supplies, and streamlining ways to get things done!

Tina has worked in childcare and in industry prior to
Brite Day.

What I most enjoy about this group and/ or Brite Day:

My whole life all I ever wanted to do was make people happy. I also wanted to help people do well in life. Working at Brite Day has allowed me do just that. It’s also allowed me to be able to grow as a person. We do so much for our special friends and they keep coming back for more fun. I enjoy their company and couldn’t ask for anything else!

What We Appreciate About You:

Tina is diligent and kind. She is always checking in to be sure that everyone is OK all of the time, and is always willing to jump in and help if anyone needs anything. She knows the
Participants well and makes sure that everyone has what they need and what is important to them. She also is diligent with assuring that
everyone has a voice too, and each person is heard!
